Document Imaging
Immediate Quote Request

Did you know?

  • One CD can hold the equivalent of a four-drawer file cabinet full of paper documents.
  • A DVD can store seven times as much data.

It is becoming increasingly clear to companies that document imaging is a cost-effective, long-term alternative to store paper documents. Great Lakes Records Management’s Document Imaging Service is a state-of-the-art system to easily convert hardcopy records to electronic format for immediate access. This is an excellent solution for organizations with multiple locations and offices, or when immediate access is needed to specific files.

The process is simple.

Our skilled staff converts requested files to a digital format using state-of-the-art, high-speed scanners. Each image is converted to the most appropriate format for the best possible viewing. Once scanned, GLRM provides an indexed CD/DVD containing the digital documents (typically in TIFF or PDF format) retrievable on any PC or network using Microsoft Windows software. Digital documents can be retrieved, viewed, faxed, e-mailed or printed instantly. Alternatively, files can be directly downloaded via FTP or secure web repository to a hard drive or server. GLRM will keep the discs offsite in our fire-rated vault for disaster recovery purposes.
